Deli Customer Service Clerk

 

PURPOSE:  To serve our deli customers by providing friendly customer service, accurate cashiering and by maintaining a clean and pleasant shopping, eating and working experience in our deli.

 

REPORTS TO:  Deli Service Manager

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

1)            Ability to present a friendly character that balances workplace efficiency and customer service.

2)            Ability to communicate respectfully with co-workers, and promote teamwork.

3)            Ability to take direction from supervisor.

4)            Ability to work on feet for prolonged periods of time.

5)            Willingness to comply with all Idaho laws regarding food safety and sanitation.

6)            Ability to follow written and verbal instructions as well as the ability to be self-motivated

and self-directed.

7)            Ability to present a favorable image of Pilgrim’s Market through contacts with customers, vendors, co-workers other business associates, and the general public.

8)            Ability to read, and ask questions as needed to understand and comply with employee handbook.

9)            Knowledge of the kitchen pans, equipment, terminology, prep, cooking and safety procedures.

10)          Willingness to attend and participate in departmental and store meetings.

 

 

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Act as a primary customer service agent for deli customers
  2. Accurate execution of front end (cashiering) policies and procedures.
  3. Cares for and maintains front-end equipment.
  4. Skillfully prepare juices, smoothies, coffee and ice cream treats for customers and grill items.
  5. Maintain a clean and pleasant shopping, eating and working environment in the deli

PT Grocery Clerk

  General Storekeeper Job Description

 

 

PURPOSE: To serve the community by maintaining fully stocked and properly rotated Chill, Grocery, Bulk, Supplements and HBC displays and back stock areas including warehouse area. General Storekeepers will also use excellent customer service skills to meet our customer’s needs, and will maintain departmental cleanliness.

 

REPORTS TO: Operations Lead

 

 ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1). Present a friendly character that balances efficiency and good customer service skills.

2). Ability to take direction from a supervisor; be loyal to Pilgrims workplace and to respect all lines  

     of authority.

3). Ability to communicate respectfully with co-workers, and work well in a team situation.

4). Ability to learn about proper display building techniques while using established departmental

     stocking procedures.

6). Ability to demonstrate and use safe lifting techniques.

7). Ability to work in many temperature zones; from freezing, to a damp chill environment to

     ambient temperatures.

8). Ability to learn about culinary uses for Supplements, HBC, grocery, chill or bulk items; and to  

     communicate that knowledge to our customers.

9). Ability to handle assigned tasks as necessary, including but not limited to; taking out recyclables,

      using the cardboard baler, moping, handling a pallet jack and two-wheelers, assisting the

      Front-End by retrieving special orders and helping to bag or assisting customers by taking out

      groceries when it is busy.

Hot Bar Cook – Full Time

Deli Hot Bar/Salad Bar All Purpose Cook

 

PURPOSE:  To serve the community by preparing 8 hot bar dishes and 40+ salad bar options per day

 

REPORTS TO: Deli Chef

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Ability to work on a timeline ensuring product is out on a timely manner daily while staying calm and collected.

 

Work independently and prep for the next day daily.

Produce bulk qualities of food with guided menu design and recipe creation for hot bar.

General knowledge of working with organic foods and products such as quinoa, sprouted food,

fermented foods.

Must have experience with keeping foods from being cross contaminated i.e. Gluten products

cooked separately from Gluten free, vegan/vegetation separate from meat and dairy.

The ability to multi task, and work with a “sense of urgency”.

Must be able to fabricate new food items without the use of recipes. We do carry recipes but we

like to see variety in our dishes and give our cooks the freedom to be creative.

Present a friendly character that balances efficiency in regard to food prep and cleaning with

good customer service at the service counter.
